Types of Severe Acne Vulgaris

The most severe form of acne is called Acne Conglobata. Acne Conglobata is distinguished by painful, deep nodules in the skin. Sometimes larger nodules are formed from the interconnecting nodules under the skin. It can be very difficult to get rid of this kind of acne, and it can cause permanent scar tissue. One other type of severe acne is called Acne Fulminans. It can also cause nodules, as well as whiteheads.
